On a sad note, Wonder Valley resident Robert William Adams has passed away. He was affectionately known to all his friends as “Vietnam Bobby” and he will be very much missed in our community. He was born on June 11, 1961 and died on January 13, 2019 at the age of 57. Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, February 13 from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, in Riverside.
The Wonder Valley Lending Program provides books and movies to borrow, just like a little library. Stop in at the WVCC to see what’s available, all at no charge.
Handy Hint: The average American pays about $2400 in credit card interest annually. To save those costs, transfer credit card debt to a card with 0 percent interest. Find better options at WalletHub.com.
Today’s Thought: If you’re looking for a few great lines . . . Dennis Miller said, “You know there’s a problem when you realize that out of the three Rs, only one begins with an R.” Oscar Wilde said, “To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.” Billy Wilder said, “He has Van Gogh’s ear for music.” And Bette Midler said, “She loves nature in spite of what it did to her.”
Until next time . . . remember to take time to enjoy the WONDERs all around us.
